Across the wide prairies of America's heartland are small towns from which some of our country's finest landmark citizens have come. The world would never have been the same without them. Their lives were filled with accomplishments, events and circumstances that produced the stuff that is now legendary, folklore and what we know as true-to-the-heart of America: urban legends. Many of these families were farmers, and the stories are endless. Whether they were mechanics or musicians, engineers or barnyard tinkerers, some of these individuals have stories worth sharing. Some of the farm women were the finest gardeners and cooks ever known and what they could do with food ought to be shared. But alongside the farmers are some of their relatives and neighbors, a few who might be some of the craziest people we've ever heard tell of. Whilst many are now gone, their memories and their folklore lingers on. Through the Prairie Mills Urban Legend Series we wish to honor these families, these communities, this heritage, and all these memories with a place these stories can be shared.
